Made in Germany
For more than 80 years, MAURER has been developing and manufacturing pyrometers for industry and research in Kohlberg near Stuttgart, Germany. Our infrared thermometers measure temperatures from −40 °C to 4000 °C without contact, fast and accurately: on glowing steel, glass and ceramics, plastics, or wire running through the line at high speed. We advise you personally and help you find the right pyrometer for your application.
Why MAURER pyrometers?
- Wide temperature range: from −40 °C to 4000 °C, special ranges on request
- Fast: response times below 1 ms, high-speed versions with 100 µs
- Accurate: measurement uncertainty 0.5 % ± 1 °C, repeatability down to 0.1 %
- Precise targeting: green LED aiming light that shows the exact size and position of the measuring spot
- Easy integration: analog output 0/4–20 mA, RS 232/RS 485, optional PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherCAT and Ethernet
- For every installation: universal and compact models, each also available with fiber optic cable
- Free IR-LOG software for configuration and data logging
- Made in Germany: developed and manufactured in Kohlberg, certified to DIN EN ISO 9001
Temperature measurement for your industry
MAURER pyrometers are used wherever temperatures need to be measured quickly, reliably and without contact:
- Steel, iron and non-ferrous metals: melting, casting, forging, rolling, hardening, tempering
- Induction heating: hardening, brazing and preheating with precise temperature control
- Laser processing: laser hardening, laser welding and laser brazing with high-speed pyrometers
- Wire and cable: measuring thin, fast-moving wires
- Glass and ceramics: glass tanks, furnace crowns, glass feeders and ceramics production
- Plastics, rubber, paper and food: low-temperature measurement from −40 °C
- Vacuum furnaces and research: accurate measurement under demanding conditions
Service you can rely on
With a MAURER pyrometer you get more than a measuring instrument. We provide detailed advice before you buy, supply a calibration certificate on request, and inspect, recertify and repair your instruments so they keep measuring reliably for many years. For special requirements, we build custom measuring ranges and tailored solutions.
